The sky today
Moon in Aries · waxing Moon
It is Scorpio season. The Moon is in Aries today. The mood of the day: everything wants to start at once and nothing wants to wait. The old almanac rule says to sow annual flowers and the crops that bear above ground, such as beans, sweet corn and tomatoes, while the Moon is waxing, from new moon to full. In the old almanacs, Aries is counted as a barren sign.
Moon trine Mars · Moon trine Jupiter
At the Moon was in harmony with Mars: today you have the stamina for a hard task. At the Moon is in harmony with Jupiter: today things come your way. Take what the day offers. After that the Moon is void of course until tomorrow: purchases made during that time are often regretted. And Mercury is retrograde: a good day to look through old things again, and a bad one for contracts.
Saying of the day
“For every fog in October, a snow in the winter.” An old saying that counted the October fogs to tell how many snowfalls the winter would bring.
