Ramadan timetable and prayer times
In Ramadan the fast runs from dawn to sunset. The end of suhur, the meal before dawn, is imsak, the beginning of dawn; the fast is broken at sunset with iftar. Both depend on the place and move every day. Here they are calculated for your city, by the method most used in your country.
Ramadan 1448 begins by the Umm al-Qura calendar, Diyanet and the Fiqh Council of North America on Monday 8 February 2027; the first fast is on the 8th, the first tarawih on the evening of the 7th. Eid al-Fitr falls by these calendars on Tuesday 9 March; where the new crescent must be seen with the naked eye, probably on Wednesday 10 March. More on the crescent.
How it is calculated
Fajr and Isha begin when the Sun reaches a certain angle below the horizon; each authority chooses its own angle, hence differences of a few minutes. Imsak is taken here as Fajr, as Diyanet and most timetables hold; where ten minutes of precaution are customary (Malaysia, Indonesia), they are already in the time. Iftar carries one minute of care in every method. Diyanet's tables for Germany fit an Isha angle of 16 degrees, its Turkish ones 17 degrees; both can be chosen here.
Methods, angles and countries after the authorities' own information, checked against seven official tables (Diyanet Istanbul, Berlin, Mainz; JAKIM; MUIS) to the minute. Places: GeoNames (CC BY 4.0).
