Justice

- Fairness
- truth
- balance
The picture
A crowned figure in a red robe sits between two pillars, holding an upright sword in the right hand and a pair of scales in the left.
The meaning
Justice holds sword and scales and looks straight ahead. The tradition reads her as fairness, honesty, and cause and effect. She stands for clear decisions and for standing by what you have done. In the Rider-Waite-Smith deck she carries the number eleven.
Reversed
Reversed, she is read as imbalance, unfairness, or dodging your own responsibility.
In love
In love she is read as a balance of giving and taking, and open, honest words.
At work
At work she stands for fair agreements, contracts and level-headed decisions.
As your card of the day
An honest look at both sides helps today. What is fair is usually easier to stand by.
Justice stands for balance. There may be something today that you can set straight.
The Major Arcana are the 22 trump cards, from the Fool at zero to the World at twenty-one. The tradition reads them as stations on a life's journey: large themes that touch everyone at some point.
