Seven of Cups

Seven of Cups: A figure seen from behind stands before seven cups in the clouds, in which appear a head, a veiled figure, a snake, a castle, jewels, a wreath and a dragon.

The picture

A figure seen from behind stands before seven cups in the clouds, in which appear a head, a veiled figure, a snake, a castle, jewels, a wreath and a dragon.

The meaning

Seven cups float in the clouds, each with a different picture. The tradition reads the card as an abundance of possibilities, wishful thinking and fantasy. Not everything that glitters is within reach or good for you. The card asks you to make a choice rather than only dream.

Reversed

Reversed, it is read as clarity returning, and a decision for one thing.

In love

In love it is read as infatuation, an idealised picture or a choice between several possibilities.

At work

At work it stands for many ideas and the task of really carrying one of them out.

As your card of the day

Much is possible today, perhaps too much. Choose one thing and leave the others in the clouds.

The Seven of Cups stands for dreams. Dream away, and then check which of them fits on the ground.

Cups belong to water. By tradition they stand for feelings, relationships and whatever moves us inside.
