Ten of Wands

- burden
- responsibility
- overload
The picture
A man, bent forward, carries a heavy bundle of ten staves towards a house.
The meaning
The man carries so much that he can hardly see where he is going. The tradition reads the Ten of Wands as a burden and too much responsibility at once. The house is not far now. The card asks which of the wands you really have to carry yourself.
Reversed
Reversed, it is read as putting a burden down, or realising you do not have to manage everything alone.
In love
In love it is read as a request to share the tasks more fairly, so that strength remains for tenderness.
At work
At work it stands for too many tasks and the moment to set priorities.
As your card of the day
You can hand something over today. Not every wand has to rest in your arms.
The Ten of Wands stands for a heavy load. Today, carry only what is truly yours.
Wands belong to fire. The tradition reads them as the cards of drive, ideas and energy.
