The picture
A naked man and woman stand facing each other in a garden while an angel spreads its arms above them in front of the sun; behind the woman stands a tree with a serpent.
The meaning
The Lovers show two people beneath a blessing angel. The tradition reads the card as love and attraction, but just as much as a choice. It asks what truly matters to you, and whether you decide by it. Readers see in it the agreement of heart and values.
Reversed
Reversed, it is read as an imbalance in a relationship, or a decision that goes against your own values.
In love
In love it is the card of attraction and of a bond that rests on choosing each other.
At work
At work it is read as good partnership, or a decision that ought to fit your own values.
As your card of the day
There may be a choice to make today. Ask yourself what really matters to you, and it becomes easier.
The Lovers stand for connection. An honest word to someone close suits this day well.
The Major Arcana are the 22 trump cards, from the Fool at zero to the World at twenty-one. The tradition reads them as stations on a life's journey: large themes that touch everyone at some point.
