The picture
A man in a white and red robe raises a wand to the sky and points to the earth with his other hand; on the table before him lie a wand, a cup, a sword and a pentacle, and a figure of eight floats above his head.
The meaning
The Magician has all four tools on the table in front of him. The tradition reads him as the ability to work with what is already there. He stands for concentration, skill and a clear will. What is thought above, he brings down into the world.
Reversed
Reversed, he is read as scattered energy or as skill used to dazzle rather than to make.
In love
In love he is read as attraction and the nerve to make the first move yourself.
At work
At work he stands for ability that gets noticed and a good moment to put something into practice.
As your card of the day
You have more in hand today than you think. Pick up the tool that is lying in front of you and begin.
The Magician stands for a gathered will. One thing done with your full attention is enough for today.
The Major Arcana are the 22 trump cards, from the Fool at zero to the World at twenty-one. The tradition reads them as stations on a life's journey: large themes that touch everyone at some point.
