Two of Pentacles

Two of Pentacles: A young man dances while juggling two pentacles joined by a band in the shape of a figure of eight, with ships riding high waves behind him.

The picture

A young man dances while juggling two pentacles joined by a band in the shape of a figure of eight, with ships riding high waves behind him.

The meaning

The young man keeps two pentacles moving and dances as he does. The tradition reads the Two of Pentacles as balance, flexibility and juggling several tasks. It stands for adaptability when life makes waves. It goes better with a light touch than with clenched teeth.

Reversed

Reversed, it is read as too many balls in the air, or a balance that tips.

In love

In love it is read as a play between closeness and freedom, or love that has to find room among many other things.

At work

At work it stands for several tasks at once, flexibility and a good sense of time.

As your card of the day

There is a lot to do at once today. Stay nimble, and take it with a little humour.

The Two of Pentacles stands for balance. If something makes waves today, dance along a little.

Pentacles belong to earth. The tradition reads them as work, the body, possessions and everything we build with our hands.
