Five of Pentacles

Five of Pentacles: Two poor figures walk through the snow past a lit stained-glass church window showing five pentacles; one of them is on crutches.

The picture

Two poor figures walk through the snow past a lit stained-glass church window showing five pentacles; one of them is on crutches.

The meaning

The two walk through the snow and do not see the bright window. The tradition reads the Five of Pentacles as hardship, worry and the feeling of being left outside. It stands for a difficult time you do not have to get through alone. The light in the window shows that help is closer than you think.

Reversed

Reversed, it is read as the end of a lean time, or the moment you accept help.

In love

In love it is read as standing together in hard times, or a feeling of not being seen enough.

At work

At work it stands for a tight phase and the reminder to look for support.

As your card of the day

You can ask for help today. The window is lit, and the door is usually not far away.

The Five of Pentacles is a reminder that you are not alone. Perhaps you can open a door for someone else today.

Pentacles belong to earth. The tradition reads them as work, the body, possessions and everything we build with our hands.
