Moon calendar for cutting hair: August 2027
Cutting hair by the moon is the most familiar rule of the old moon calendars. It tells two aims apart: strong growth and a cut that lasts a long time.
For strong growth
Tue 3 (Leo), Wed 4 (Virgo), Thu 5 (Virgo)
With a waxing moon in Leo or Virgo, hair is said to grow back strong and full after the cut.
For a cut that lasts
Mon 2 (Leo), Sun 29 (Leo), Mon 30 (Leo), Tue 31 (Virgo)
With a waning moon in Leo or Virgo, hair grows back more slowly, and the cut lasts longer.
Better not
Sun 1, Wed 18, Thu 19, Fri 27, Sat 28
When the Moon is in Pisces or Cancer, tradition advises against cutting: the hair is then said to be hard to manage.
The Moon's position is computed for every day at noon, Central European Time. The rules are tradition, as the old moon calendars hand them down, not a promise. The whole calendar: moon calendar.
