Moon calendar for cutting hair: February 2028
Cutting hair by the Moon is the most familiar rule of the old moon calendars. It distinguishes two aims: strong growth and a cut that lasts a long time.
For strong growth
Wed 9 (Leo), Thu 10 (Leo)
When the Moon is waxing in Leo or Virgo, hair is said to grow back strong and full after a cut.
For a cut that lasts
Fri 11 (Virgo), Sat 12 (Virgo)
When the Moon is waning in Leo or Virgo, hair is said to grow back more slowly, so the cut keeps its shape for longer.
Better not
Mon 7, Tue 8, Fri 25, Sat 26
When the Moon is in Pisces or Cancer, the old calendars advise against a cut: the hair is then said to be hard to manage.
The Moon's position is computed for every day at noon, Central European Time. The rules are tradition, as the old moon calendars hand them down, not a promise. The whole calendar: moon calendar.
